"So, off the I-5, there's a lot of visibility, a lot of traffic, a lot of people that drive by,” Mayor Pro Tem Karina Talamantes said. “People are going to be able to play and enjoy their nighttime activities while also just respecting the neighbors that live nearby.”

Talamantes said the project will create more than 250 new jobs and contribute approximately $15 million to the Sacramento economy. The two-story venue will have 80 bays and anticipates welcoming more than 250,000 visitors per year.

“People are really excited to have family-friendly entertainment close to home, walking distance, which is something—an ask of Natomas for the last two years,” Talamantes said. “We have had a few questions about traffic congestion and what that looks like. So Topgolf staff is here, and they're prepared to answer people's questions about the process, the permitting, the timeline that’s to be determined along with what traffic looks like.”

As for when construction will start, she said it's still up in the air.

"There is no answer for that yet. They are trying to collect community feedback and incorporate it into their design and plans and renderings into the city of Sacramento,” Talamantes said.
