916 Day

  • Bannon Creek Park 2780 Azevedo Drive Sacramento, CA, 95833 United States (map)

Thanks to the Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (YPCE) and Parks Community Enrichment Commission (PCEC) for hosting 916 Day, Saturday, September 14th to celebrate city parks as the cornerstone of our 916 Community.

What’s 916 Day? The 916 Day is a weeklong September event spearheaded by YPCE and PCEC to urge all Sacramentens to celebrate city parks as the cornerstone of our 916 Community. We will be hosting a series of beautification and service events across the city to promote volunteerism and partnerships at parks and green spaces to highlight how parks create a healthy, strong, and thriving community.

Volunteers will paint picnic tables and stain the host table underneath the barn structure, paint the bridge near the farm equipment, and clean up trash down the parkway and walking/biking path. Volunteers will enjoy snacks and refreshments during this event.
