State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Sacramento Mayor, and California Teachers Association Endorse Karina Talamantes for Sacramento County Board of Education

Karina Talamantes secures the endorsement of teachers, and state and local leaders.

SACRAMENTO—Today, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson, Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg, and California Teachers Association announced they are endorsing Karina Talamantes for Sacramento County Board of Education, Area 2.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson statement:

“California has been leading in implementing a whole child approach to improving student learning. Karina’s commitment to that work will help provide the well-rounded, quality public education that Sacramento students deserve. Additionally, as a career counselor, Karina also understands the need to graduate students with real-world skills to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of today and tomorrow. I wholeheartedly give Karina my support.”
