Sacramento, CA. – Today, Sacramento County Board of Education Area 2 candidate, Karina Talamantes, announced the endorsement of Sacramento City Unified School District Board President, Jessie Ryan.
“Karina shares my committed to ensuring all students have a pathway out of poverty through public education,” said Ryan. “Through her experience as a career counselor, she has helped many Sacramento students access higher education. I am proud to give her my support.”
President Ryan is the representative for Sacramento City Unified School District Area 7, which includes the North Oak Park, Central Oak Park, South Oak Park, Hollywood Park and South Sacramento communities. She serves as the Executive Vice President of the Campaign for College Opportunity, an organization working to ensure all Californians have an equal opportunity to attend and succeed in college in order to build a vibrant workforce, economy and democracy.
